Employee Training & Development

VFS is dedicated to bringing positive change through financial services and other aid-driven sustainable solutions for marginalized people's empowerment and entrepreneurial activities. We embed our values, mission, vision, and culture among the workforce; bring out their potential, and develop their skills through our distinctive training and development programme to carry forward our objectives.

Orientation Training

New joiners get an overview of the company through the employee orientation training programme as we provide an insight into our company's values, vision, mission, rules, regulations, policies and practices to the new employees for their seamless transition into the organizational system.

On-the-job-Training

We hold On-the-Job-Training sessions for our Branch Managers, Assistant Branch Managers, Customer Service Representatives and other field staff to develop new skills, enhance competencies and make them conversant with the company rules, regulations, practices, policies and the latest product changes.

Refresher Training

Our refresher training is specially designed for the field staff to update their knowledge of our latest products and modifications of the existing products, comprehensive skill building in customer service management, negotiations, and dealing with challenging situations. These training sessions reinforce employee skills and knowledge.

Soft Skills/Life Skills Training

The microfinance industry requires a high-touch model for building human connections and developing trustworthy relationships through the workforce's soft skills and life skills development to improve customer care services. VFS Capital annually conducts five-day mandatory life skill development training for all its staff.

We hold a wide range of training sessions which include Customer Care Management, Interpersonal Relationship, Personal Effectiveness Program, Business Communication, Time Management, Time management, Team Synergy, Conflict Management, Manager as Coach (MAC), Situational Leadership, Goal Setting and Planning, Sales and Negotiation Skills Development.

We provide training such as Business Communication, Personality Development, Inter-Personal Relationships, Time Management, Team Synergy and similar programmes for the skill development of our executives.

VFS Capital holds Situational Leadership, Coaching, People Management Skills Development and similar training programmes for the managers to flourish at work.

Special Training

We develop managerial skills of the employees through special training programmes such as Managerial Induction on Leadership & Entrepreneurship Skill (MILES). This programme interprets employees' potential, personality traits, leadership qualities, decision-making, critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills to develop their entrepreneurial capabilities as future managers.

RACE or Renewed Adaptability to Changing Environment (RACE)

RACE is a constructive programme to enhance the adaptability of the employees in the constantly changing business environment. The programme aims to enable employees to assess their personal SWOT (strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) to discover their potential and areas of improvement as it is productive for self-analysis, creating a unique effectiveness grid and reshaping attitudes.

Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness (DISC)

We cultivate an influential work culture to bring professional, cordial, collaborative relationships and work culture. DiSC model portrays four personality styles: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. Through DiSC profiling, we assess the trainees' personalities, recognize their leadership traits, develop their capabilities, and improve teamwork to ensure innovation, growth and sustainability.

Talent Pool (Unnati)

This program at VFS Capital is integral to our commitment to nurturing and developing our internal talent. This initiative is designed to empower our staff by providing them with the necessary resources and skills to reach their full potential. Through Unnati, we identify areas for improvement, refine existing skills, and prepare employees to tackle new challenges effectively.

Rewards & Recognition (VFS -PRIDE)

VFS Capital Limited recognizes and rewards the outstanding efforts and qualities of our employees through a quarterly Reward & Recognition Program, VFS -PRIDE. This program is developed to appreciate and acknowledge individuals who demonstrate behaviours aligned with our organizational values of Commitment, Integrity, Social Responsibility, and Transparency.

Performance Improvement Plan

We have implemented a structured Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) to support employees who may be struggling to meet their performance goals. A PIP is a comprehensive document that addresses specific areas of performance deficiencies, identifies skills or training gaps, and establishes clear expectations for the employee's future conduct.

The PIP is initiated when an employee consistently falls short of the company's expectations regarding their work or behaviour. Its primary objective is to facilitate constructive feedback, provide necessary training or resources, clarify the company's expectations, and monitor the employee's performance against Key Result Areas (KRA).

Through the PIP process, we aim to enable employee development and outline a clear roadmap for improvement. By setting achievable goals and offering support, we strive to help employees enhance their performance and contribute effectively to the organization's success. Model Training Centre

VFS is committed to establishing Model Training Centres nationwide to ensure consistency and uniformity in our training programs. We've already established several centres in various states and are dedicated to expanding our footprint across the country. Through these centres, we aspire to set a standard of excellence in training delivery and leave a positive impact on individuals and communities nationwide.
